AIG Advisor Group, one of the largest independent broker-dealers networks in the United States, today announced that Jeffery M. Auld has been named President and CEO of AIG Financial Advisors, Inc. and American General Securities Incorporated (AGSI), effective June 30, 2008. Auld succeeds James R. Cannon, who is leaving the company to pursue other interests. Auld will report to R. Lawrence Roth, President and CEO, AIG Advisor Group.

Auld joins AIG Advisor Group from Berthel Fisher & Co. Financial Services, Inc. where he served as President and was responsible for recruiting and involved in marketing and advertising, technology and operational improvements. Previously, he served as President and CEO of Next Financial Group where is led the firm from a start-up broker-dealer to one of the nation's 40 largest in five years and earned Investment Advisor magazine's Broker-Dealer of the Year Award for six consecutive years.

AIG Financial Advisors has honored Ray Day, a financial advisor from Torrance, CA with its Lifetime Achievement Award. Day has been affiliated with the broker-dealer since the 1990s. The firm made the lifetime achievement announcement during its annual National Education Conference, held in early June in Las Vegas, NV.

The Lifetime Achievement Award is the highest honor bestowed by AIG Financial Advisors. The award recognizes professional contributions and personal commitment to the community.

Nearly 2,000 advisors, admins, and sponsors recently attended the AIG Financial Advisors 2008 National Education Conference at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.

This annual education conference is attended by the premier financial consultants in the industry and promotes professional development and continuing education. Keynote speakers included noted economist Todd Buchholz and photographer Dewitt Jones.

Investment News recently ranked The AIG Advisor Advisor Group the No. 2 broker-dealer in terms of top independent broker-dealers ranked by gross revenue and registered reps producing more than $100,000.
